About the Role

As a Junior Credit Analyst, you will support the underwriting and risk team by conducting in-depth data analysis to guide informed lending decisions and help drive the success of customer brands in the Marketplace.

We are looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented, and action-driven individual with strong English communication skills (both written and verbal) who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment
    • Evaluate credit applications and assess risk levels.
    • Conduct preliminary credit analysis and ensure completeness of key financial statements.
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support loan approval decisions.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data used in underwriting.
    • Review financial documents including bank statements, income statements, balance sheets, credit card statements, credit reports, and background checks.
    • Collect and verify bank and accounting data required for credit reviews. If something is missing or needs further detail, provide the sales team with a follow-up diligence list.
    • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all data entry and documentation tasks.
  • Process Management & Optimization
    • Manage a growing pipeline of credit applications from both new and existing customers.
    • Identify opportunities to improve underwriting processes and communicate suggestions clearly.
    • Lead portfolio management efforts in identifying non-performing accounts and provide analysis/recommendations on what to do next.
    • Adapt to changing priorities and support various credit-related projects as needed.
Competencies and Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Credit Analyst/Underwriter
  • Prior experience working in a commercial bank or commercial credit card company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of the U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Experienced in gathering, integrating, and analyzing data from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice-to-Have

  • Understanding of construction industry finance
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
