Globe is seeking a Financial Reporting Expert (Band B) to manage the complete financial reporting cycle for the Globe Group. The ideal candidate is a certified public accountant with at least two years of experience in external audit or financial reporting. The expert will prepare monthly consolidated financial reports, quarterly and annual financial statements, and reports for government agencies such as the NTC and SEC. The role includes acting as the point person for assigned portfolio companies, ensuring their compliance and reviewing their accounts. It also involves preparing accounting research memos, managing the monthly closing of books, and assisting with external audits. Responsibilities Prepares monthly consolidated financial reports including system processing and consolidation queries. Acts as point person for portfolio companies; responsibilities include compliance, consulting, and review of accounts. Prepares the financial statement package for assigned entities, including period-to-period analysis of significant balance sheet and income statement fluctuations. Prepares quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures for assigned entities. Assists in managing monthly consolidation and closing of books in line with financial reporting timelines. Prepares accounting research memos applying assessments to Globe Group transactions. Creates and maintains the GL database for all entities. Risk and Controls Performs assessment of controls over financial reporting and related processes, including risk and control assessment and management of control effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Compliance Prepares reportorial requirements submitted to government agencies such as the NTC, PSA, SEC, and BSP. Assists external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual financial statements audits. Other Responsibilities Responsible for continuous enhancement of accounting processes and controls; acts as a point person in automation projects. Promotes a productive team environment, encouraging collaboration and supporting team members as needed. Other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
