Environmental Lead

Talent Attraction and Acquisition Lead @ Aboitiz Renewables | External Recruiter, Technical Recruiter, Talent Management Responsibilities Develops and supervises implementation of Environmental programs and plans to ensure attainment of Environmental objectives and goals including but not limited to compliance requirements of regulatory agencies, internal and external stakeholders and other sustainability strategies. Supervises emergency response operations in the event of incidents (e.g. environmental incidents, concerns and/or community complaints in relation to plant operations and generated wastes, etc.) and develop/update Environmental procedures and emergency protocols/work instructions. Establish standards and maintain procedures and work instruction aligning to corporate direction in order to evaluate proposals/projects to ensure Environmental requirements are integrated and are acceptable. Plans and monitors budget, time/schedule, condition of Environmental equipment and manpower for the efficient execution of Environmental plans, programs, drills and exercises to ensure efficient use of resources and on-time delivery of results. Prepares and ensures on-time renewal and/or application of permits and submission of reports to regulatory agencies and other interested parties by regular monitoring and updating including but not limited to the construction/installation and/or operation of pollution sources and control facilities. Perform duties as the Pollution Control Officer and be the liaison officer with DENR, LLDA and other relevant regulating agencies by ensuring compliance to and keeping updated with environmental laws/rules/regulations, assess impact, and reporting to and from these agencies in order to comply with the duties stated in DENR Administrative Order . Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders (e.g Regulatory agencies, Multipartite Monitoring Team, Environmental Services providers, Training Providers, Environmental Organizations, etc.) in order to improve training session plans, timely revise and/or create procedures to align with new/changing requirements and benchmark with best practices and/or international standards and to build harmonious productive relations. Provides support to the execution, training, communication and resolution of issues on the implementation of programs and plans, potential and actual non-compliances by facilitating discussions with relevant teams to come up and execute a compliance plan and minimize environmental risks in the workplace and the surrounding community. Evaluates the effectiveness of Environmental and Sustainability programs by audits, inspections, analyzing data, evaluation of environmental monitoring results and updates the concerned teams with the necessary corrective actions. Assists during investigation of incidents and non-compliances in order to identify root causes and collaborate for the development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence, as applicable. Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior. Minimum Qualifications Must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder in Engineering, preferably Chemical, Environmental, or Sanitary Engineering. Must be a Registered Engineer and/or holder of a PRC License. At least 2 years of professional experience in SHE or a related field. Project experience required, at least as a project member.
