Lawyer

Aboitiz InfraCapital, Inc. is looking for a Lawyer responsible for: (a) advising and providing end to end legal support to AIC-Economic Estates, from business development to client concerns; (b) providing corporate legal services to AIC-Economic Estates; (c) building relationships with government agencies with particular impact to AIC-Economic Estates; and (d) monitoring and advocating laws, policies and regulations beneficial to AIC-Economic Estates.

Job Responsibilities

• Legal Support for Daily Operations
• Strategic Legal Support: Provide sound legal advice to management and business units on corporate, commercial, real estate, labor, and regulatory matters.
• Contracts Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts such as but not limited to land acquisition, joint ventures, construction, leasing, sales, procurement, service agreements.
• Risk Management: Identify legal risks in projects, estate operations, tenant/locators’ contracts, and propose mitigating actions.
• Compliance & Regulatory Liaison: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and liaise with government agencies, regulators, and LGUs for permits, licenses, and registrations, as needed.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Manage company’s legal disputes, including land claims, construction issues, tenant matters, and labor cases. Coordinate with external counsel.
• Corporate Housekeeping: Act as Assistant Corporate Secretary and lead in the drafting of corporate secretarial documents, maintenance of corporate records

• Business Development
• Legal Data Analytics & Trends: Collect and analyze legal data (e.g., types of disputes, contract deviations, regulatory bottlenecks, permit delays). Identify recurring issues and recommend policy, process, or contract template adjustments to reduce risks and improve efficiency.

• Legislation related support
• Policy and Regulation Monitoring: Identify, monitor, and report critical proposed policies and regulations which would have an impact on the AIC- EE’s business or operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree holder in Law and bar passer
• Strong background as legal support; preferably with corporate experience
• Strong regulatory compliance experience, drafting, and negotiations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work 5 days onsite in Makati
• Amenable to frequently travel in Tarlac and Batangas
