Position Title: Safety Compliance Officer

Department: Business Support / Admin

Work Location: 3rd Floor, Sawali Building, Parqal Mall, Aseana, Parañaque City

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: ₱18,000 – ₱30,000

Reports To: Operations Head / Compliance Manager

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities
  1. Developing Safety Plans
    • Create and implement workplace safety procedures and emergency protocols.
    • Customize safety programs based on operations and risks per store location.
  2. Conducting Inspections
    • Regularly assess working areas to identify safety hazards.
    • Conduct routine inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and policies.
  3. Providing Training
    • Educate employees on safety rules, proper use of equipment, and hazard awareness.
    • Organize drills and refresher courses on fire, emergency, and health protocols.
  4. Investigating Incidents
    • Respond to workplace accidents or safety violations.
    • Determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
  5. Ensuring Compliance
    • Monitor regulatory updates from DOLE, DOH, LGUs, etc.
    • Enforce adherence to national/local safety laws and food industry standards.
  6. Risk Assessment
    • Identify risks, assess their severity, and recommend mitigating actions.
    • Collaborate with department heads to enforce risk control measures.
  7. Documentation
    • Maintain updated records of inspections, training, incidents, and reports.
    • Prepare compliance reports and present findings to management when needed.
  8. Liaison
    • Coordinate with government agencies, store supervisors, and operations teams.
    • Represent the company in safety audits, evaluations, or investigations.
Qualifications / Requirements
  1. Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health
    • Environmental Science
    • Business Administration
    • Food Technology
    • Public Health
    • Or any related course
  2. Certifications (Preferred or Required):
    • BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) – DOLE-accredited
    • COSH (Construction OSH) – if applicable
    • HACCP Certification – for food safety (preferred)
    • First Aid / Fire Safety Training – an advantage
  3. Work Experience:
    • At least 1–2 years of experience in a safety-related position in retail, food, manufacturing, or construction industry.
    • Experience in inspections, compliance audits, or incident investigations is a plus.
  4. Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong understanding of DOLE, DOH, LGU regulations and occupational safety laws.
    • Familiarity with OSHS (Occupational Safety and Health Standards).
    • Knowledge of sanitation standards, food safety protocols, and hazard control.
    • Ability to draft reports, maintain records, and conduct safety training.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
