Health and Benefits Nurse - Eastwood, QC

Location: Eastwood, QC, Philippines (Quezon City, National Capital Region).

Job Overview

The Occupational Health & Benefits Specialist will manage employee health benefits (including HMO administration and utilization) and serve as an on-site nurse. This role ensures health benefits programs are efficient and cost-effective while providing health services to employees to promote wellness and address medical concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Benefits Administration: Manage and administer health benefits programs (e.g., HMO, medical insurance); negotiate with HMO providers to secure optimal rates and services; monitor utilization; respond to employee inquiries; assist with enrollment and ongoing support for staff.
  • Occupational Health: Provide basic healthcare services to employees (first aid, health screenings, wellness checkups); offer medical support and guidance for workplace health issues; administer vaccinations, treatments, and health interventions as needed; promote health and wellness initiatives.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all health benefits and medical practices comply with local health regulations and company policies; monitor and track health benefits utilization, preparing reports and analyses; liaise with HR and finance to manage costs and ensure transparency in utilization.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in benefits management, HR, or a similar administrative role
  • Strong understanding of health insurance plans, particularly HMO schemes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience negotiating with health providers or HMOs
  • Previous experience in occupational health or corporate nursing
