Overview

The role will mainly focus on Non-Life business development in our branch in Iloilo City .

Position Objective

To provide quality and efficient service to agents and customers, to formulate and implement strategies in order to increase market share and to achieve objectives for the business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, leading, coordinating, and controlling the activities and overall operation of the branch. This includes but is not limited to the following: sales, accounting & collection, underwriting, policy issuance, claims, and office management.
  • Translates the vision and values into strategy for the team; translates strategy into business goals; clearly conveys plans, information and ideas to individuals or groups.
  • Develops and implements continuous improvement actions and alternatives for customer service and support.
  • Develop a plan for the acquisition and processing of high importance partnerships and deliver value to the business development of the branch, ensuring not just the attainment of sales targets but also branch profitability.
  • Recruits and trains agents and monitors their sales performances.
  • Checks and approves policies and endorsement within the limit of authority.
  • Evaluates claim cases and approves the same within the limit of authority; coordinates with the Head Office claims beyond branch authority.
  • Monitors premiums due for collection and ensures that unpaid premiums are collected and remitted to the company.
  • Ensures the proper implementation and team compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and manages the branch’s annual budgets.
  • Provides expertise and mentoring to assist the team development.
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned by management in relation to duties and responsibilities above or arising from the exigencies of the position.
Job Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of any 4 year business course
  • Work-Related Experience:
  • With at least 5 years related work experience in sales and/or operations management
  • With non-life insurance background
  • Has experience in dealing with customers and clients
  • Articulate, aggressive and results-oriented
  • Excellent managerial and marketing skills
  • With excellent communication skills and can relate well with people
  • Willing to travel
  • Specific Business Knowledge:
  • Computer literate and is well-versed in operating various computer applications (i.e. MS Applications)
  • Has the ability to work under pressure and can do analytics
  • Has attended a basic non-life insurance training with IIAP
  • Has the ability to prepare and do sales presentations
