Senior Business Analyst (Banking)

Senior Business Analyst is essential in delivering high-end products and in supporting the squad in having all documentation detailed and well prepared.

Responsibilities
  • Scope the system: Work closely with the Product Owner and other squad members to ensure the right granularity of requirements specification at an epic/story level.
  • Translate business needs: Create models, diagrams, presentations, and other documentation that help the target audience understand the business requirements.
  • Facilitate team communication to build consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions.
  • Validate requirements, UAT Testing & User Training (if required): Validate end-to-end requirements via reviews, walkthroughs, and demos. Help write and conduct UAT test cases and, if required, train non-squad stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks/issues that might affect the squad’s health.
  • Demonstrate expertise in conceptual modelling, the ability to see the big picture, and provide concise, clear answers to a wide range of business topics.
Qualifications / Skill Requirements
  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • 6–8 years of experience in functional analysis in Private Banking and Wealth Management; knowledge of banking business and operations is a plus.
  • Proven ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management; experience collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Information Security teams (regulatory understanding needed).
  • Experience in project management and full application development life cycle (planning, budget, approval, sourcing, monitoring, and implementation).
  • Knowledge of development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and HP ALM is a plus.
  • A team player who collaborates and shares information.
  • Strong familiarity with Avaloq Core Platform; Avaloq certification is a plus.
  • Willing to relocate in Singapore
