Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud-native data infrastructure for the MRV system
  • Develop robust data pipelines, warehouses, and integrations for geospatial, climate, community, and biodiversity datasets
  • Ensure scalable, secure, and standards-compliant data operations for carbon accounting and environmental reporting
  • Collaborate with analysts, field teams, and external partners
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with cloud-based infrastructure and big data systems
  • Advantage: Experience in climate, environmental, or sustainability projects
  • Skilled inCloud platforms (Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions), Data orchestration (Apache Airflow, Prefect), Programming (Python, SQL, PySpark),Data modeling, schema design, geospatial data (GEE, PostGIS)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and APIs
  • Infrastructure-focused, detail-oriented, and collaborative
