You will be part of a highly professional team in the CTO Engineering division with motivated, committed, and adaptive colleagues. We offer an open and collaborative environment, where you can speak up anytime and drive initiatives.

We are enabling containerization and microservices development at Avaloq by developing platforms, tools, and frameworks used across the company.

You will get the opportunity to work with technology stacks including: Java, Spring, Kafka, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Gradle, just to name a few.

We explore new technologies and potentially adapting them for usage within our environment. We are eager to learn and love to take up new challenges.

Your tasks:

• Build and maintain frameworks and tools for microservices running on Kubernetes, used by development teams and clients.
• Take ownership of some parts of the frameworks and tools.
• Support development teams working on microservices.
• Support clients to adopt OpenShift container platform, install, and configure Avaloq microservices.
• Work in an agile environment, helping to constantly improve our processes.

• University degree in computer science, business informatics, computer/electronic engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Java development and associated frameworks (e.g.: JEE and Spring).
• Highly motivated, collaborative team player who likes to analyze and solve complex challenges.
• Comfortable with communicating with stakeholders and collaborating with other teams.
• Strong written and spoken English language skills.

It would be a real bonus if you have:

• Experience with cloud architecture concepts (e.g. Operators, Microservices, Containers).
• Familiar with Cloud Development techniques, principles, and tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge and practical experience in using open-source libraries and tools within development projects.
