Overview Position: Draftsman Responsibilities Creating Technical Drawings: Develop detailed and accurate technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for projects based on input from engineers, architects, or designers. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to clarify design requirements and resolve any issues in the drawing process. Software Proficiency: Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to produce and modify drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, etc.). Drawing Revisions: Update and modify drawings as necessary, incorporating feedback and ensuring all changes are accurately reflected. Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings are precise, error-free, and meet client specifications and company standards. File Management: Maintain organized files of drafts and design plans for easy retrieval and updates. Site Visits: Occasionally visit construction sites or production facilities to gather accurate data for designs and ensure alignment with plans. Product Specifications: Interpret and incorporate product specifications, material types, and production techniques into design plans. Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.). Strong understanding of engineering or architectural principles. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
