This is more than a typical Technical Solutions Engineer role. It's a stepping stone into product management. You'll bring your deep technical expertise to the front lines while taking ownership of key product initiatives, from investigating new technologies to managing feature releases. It’s a chance to expand your strategic influence and develop a broader business skill set in Product.

While you can expect to spend a significant portion of your time on deep technical work—troubleshooting bugs, architecting gateway solutions, and supporting sales calls (approx. 80%)—you will also be a key driver of our product strategy, owning project management for new initiatives and contributing to the product roadmap (approx. 20%). You will be the central nexus for product development, sales support, and technical execution, ensuring our product meets both business goals and customer needs.

Working Hours:

We're a distributed team across Asia, North America, and Europe. This means your schedule needs to be flexible. Expect to work primarily on Beijing/Manila time (UTC+8) , but be ready for occasional evening calls and collaboration outside of a standard workday.

What You'll Do:

• Drive the product lifecycle from ideation to launch by writing detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and maintain the product roadmap.
• Oversee firmware feature, bug, and release management.

Technical Leadership:

• Serve as a lead developer on key projects and contribute directly to codebases.
• Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues and bugs, acting as a final escalation point.
• Conduct in-depth technical research, including exploring new technologies like BACnet , to inform product development.
• Provide essential pre-sales and post-sales technical support to our customers.
• Join customer calls to answer complex technical questions and build trust.
• Conduct customer interviews and ride-alongs to gain firsthand insights into their experience.

Security & Operations:

• Manage and respond to security questionnaires from customers during security reviews.
• Research and document product capabilities to ensure accurate information is provided.
• Develop and maintain internal tools to streamline team workflows.
• Oversee project management for various initiatives, ensuring alignment across engineering, sales, and leadership teams.
• Manage relationships and projects with external vendors.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, serving as a galvanizing force to deliver on the product vision.

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in a hands-on technical role such as Solutions/Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, senior Application/Product Support, or a similar field.
• Strong technical background with hands-on coding/scripting experience
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, APIs).
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to own initiatives from start to finish.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in customer-facing roles, including interviews and technical support.
• Ability to think critically and solve complex, ambiguous problems.
