UI/UX Lead Designer/Manager

We are seeking an accomplished Senior UI/UX Designer / Manager with over 10 years of experience in crafting intuitive, visually compelling, and highly functional user experiences and interfaces. The successful candidate will play a strategic and hands‑on role in shaping digital experiences across web and mobile platforms, leading the advancement of experience design (XD) practices across Asia business units. Key Responsibilities Serve as a senior member of the Asia Experience Design Practice Group, collaborating across business units and regional teams. Define, advocate, and maintain UX/UI design principles, standards, and governance across digital initiatives. Champion and evangelize Design Thinking methodologies to promote innovation and human‑centered solutions. Present and communicate design strategies, insights, and solutions to executives and senior stakeholders, articulating the business value of design through data, research, and digital analytics. Mentor and guide junior and mid‑level designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement. Lead and execute user research, including interviews, usability testing, persona development, and competitive analysis. Create and refine journey maps, service blueprints, research documentation, and insights reports. Translate complex user and business needs into intuitive and engaging experiences. Develop and maintain user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and sitemaps that clearly communicate design concepts. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align the UX vision with business objectives and technical requirements. Design visually appealing and functional interfaces for web and mobile applications, ensuring a consistent and cohesive design system. Produce high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and contribute to evolving the enterprise design system (e.g., Figma-based component libraries). Establish and enforce UI standards, accessibility (WCAG) compliance, and best practices across platforms. Iterate on designs based on stakeholder and user feedback, maintaining a balance between creativity, usability, and business impact. Specialized Knowledge & Skills Deep expertise in Experience Design (DT, UX, UI, and Service Design) and usability principles. Proven experience in user research planning, facilitation, and synthesis of findings into actionable insights. Advanced proficiency in Figma/FigJam, Miro, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence, and Jira. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies in digital project delivery. Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles. Knowledge of HTML/CSS and Content Management Systems (CMS) is an advantage. Experience in design systems, digital product management, and analytics-driven design. Excellent visualization, storytelling, and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders. Ability to lead design discussions, workshops, and co‑creation sessions with business and technology teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. 8 to 10 years of experience in UI/UX or Experience Design, with a portfolio demonstrating successful digital design solutions for web and mobile platforms. Experience with service design, journey mapping, and digital transformation projects. Proven track record in delivering impactful design outcomes aligned with business goals and user needs. Certifications in UX, UI, Design Thinking, Human‑Centered Design, Usability Analysis, or Agile/Scrum are advantageous. Background in insurance or financial services preferred, but not required. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with a collaborative mindset. Passionate about human-centered design and digital innovation. Skilled at translating research and data into actionable design insights. Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to execution. Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Curious, adaptable, and proactive in addressing complex design and business challenges.
