Electrical Engineer - Subic Bay (Onsite)

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a SDVOSB provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, and engineering services worldwide. This is a full-time, project-based role, fully onsite at our Subic Bay office. Responsibilities include overseeing electrical work, preparing assessment reports, designs and estimates, and supporting project objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform design work for new construction, renovations and shipyard improvements.
• Develop design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications to support project objectives and standards.
• Participate in construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews beyond the scope of construction managers.
• Develop cost estimates, schedules, technical specifications, and construction methodologies as needed.
• Review preliminary and final designs for technical efficiency and adequacy.
• Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
• Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design, equipment specifications and safety standards.
• Use AutoCAD and other engineering software to perform tasks; support coordination studies and load analyses as assigned.
• Support contract management, planning with scope, programming and scheduling
• Stay current with technical innovations in electrical engineering
• Perform other responsibilities as appropriate

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering; licensed Electrical Engineer
• 3–5 years of design and field experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Effective verbal and written communication; innovative and problem-solving abilities
• Driver’s license and Philippine passport; willingness to work at SMBA/SBFZ, Olongapo City

I. POSITION DESCRIPTION

An Electrical Engineer designs, develops, tests, and oversees the manufacturing of electrical systems and equipment, focusing on power generation, distribution, and utilization; ensures compliance with codes and standards.

II. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and monitor site labor force and subcontractors daily.
• Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of estimates.
• Ensure materials installed and work performed meet technical specifications.
• Oversee material selection and requisition.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, planners, and workforce.
• Attend meetings and prepare reports.
• Oversee quality control per procedures, method statements, and ITPs.

• Analytical, data-driven decision making; strong time management
• Willing to relocate to sites; PRC/License requirements may apply
