Project Title: Molecular Detection and Characterization of Tick-borne Pathogens in Domesticated Goats in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental
Project Leader: Carlo Stephen O. Moneva
Duration: 11 months (February – December, 2025)
Salary: Php 15,208.80/month
Tentative Schedule of Interview: February 11, 2025
Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree holder in a Science-related field
- Background in molecular biology techniques
- Experience handling goats and collecting samples (blood, hair follicles, feces, etc.)
- Assists the project leader and members in conducting the research project.
- Meets regularly with the project leader to discuss research assignments.
- Performs routine clerical duties as instructed, if essential to the research activities of the supervisor or project.
- Assists and monitors the acquisition of research materials.
- Monitors the project budget.
- Performs research work such as data gathering/sampling, experimentation, summarizing findings, and data analysis.
- Supervises any undergraduate and graduate students working on the assigned research project.
- Assists in administrative duties such as completing reports.
- Prepares other reports and presentations related to the research project.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the project leader related to the research project.
