Associate Director – Regulatory Transformation

The Associate Director, Regulatory Transformation and Governance provides strategic leadership for regulatory transformation and governance initiatives. This role ensures that compliance efforts are aligned with business goals through innovation, data-driven decision-making, and strong governance structures. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in compliance strategy, risk governance, and process improvement within the financial services sector. Key Responsibilities: Governance & Reporting: Deliver board-level reports, enhance governance transparency, and translate data into actionable insights. Policy Governance: Oversee compliance policy lifecycle management, harmonize policies, and ensure timely attestations and testing. Compliance Organizational Resiliency (COR): Lead resiliency frameworks, documentation, and training to ensure regulatory continuity. Process Improvement & Corrective Action: Drive continuous improvement through audits, corrective plans, and feedback mechanisms. Leadership: Provide strategic direction for global regulatory programs, influence policy, and drive innovation within compliance. People Management: Develop and mentor a high-performing team, promote collaboration, and champion diversity and inclusion. Strategy: Design and execute the regulatory transformation roadmap; align initiatives with organizational risk appetite and strategic goals. Process & Thematic Reviews: Lead targeted reviews of high-risk processes and monitor corrective action implementation. Stakeholder Engagement: Build communication platforms, lead cross-functional meetings, and report actionable insights to leadership. Qualifications: Experience: At least 10 years of experience in compliance, strategic planning, or program/project management. Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, policy governance, risk management, and business continuity planning. Skills: Expertise in project management , process optimization , and governance reporting. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Risk Management , or related field (Master’s degree preferred ). Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive transformation initiatives, and manage stakeholder engagement.
