Operations Manager

Responsible for all or a major portion of processing operations in a plant. Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling and personnel. Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function. Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines. Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline. Job Responsibilities: Operations Manager must ensure that the manufacturing operations assigned with will operate at highest standard in Manufacturing Practice in relation to: -Health and Safety, People, Quality, Delivery/Productivity, Cost and Continuous Improvement Manages a team of cell leaders to ensure all quality related items are complete and documented Ensures all quality related items for multiple cells or a complex cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards. Directs cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness. Directs scheduling to meet production schedules. Sets the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to optimize productivity. Leads materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations. Manages multiple cells' performance and productivity to maximize productivity. Directs production innovation, including additive manufacturing, to enhance production capabilities. Liaises with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services. Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well‑being of self and others Qualifications: Graduate of any Bachelor’s / College Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Studies/Administration/ Management or equivalent 8 years relevant experience in manufacturing set up, with specialized knowledge is an advantage In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficient With background and understanding on ERP system (E1,JDE or SAP) Strong written and verbal communication and reasoning skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
