Overview

Finance Accounting Analyst I, Officer (Hybrid) – Citi Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines.

Finance Accounting Analyst I is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles. The role has limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided.

Responsibilities
  • Supports the management and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data, including by preparing and recording financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes, updating the general ledger, recording financial transactions, and preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with management reporting requirements for legal vehicle and regulatory purposes. This includes specialized accounting such as equity compensation, securitization, payroll and investment accounting.
  • Take responsibility for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools.
  • Prepare accounts for assigned processes in line with global guidelines.
  • Adhere to key controls for accounting processes within the processes handled.
  • Integrate established disciplinary knowledge within the own specialty area with a basic understanding of related industry practices to perform accounting transactions.
  • As a member of the team, perform specific tasks within specific business functions and deliver routine accounting deliverables to provide defined outputs.
  • Communicate with Legal Entity Managers on the status of reconciliations and accounting performed; escalate problems or issues relating to transactions, processes, reports or procedures as appropriate.
  • Apply understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues with impact on own area; assess risk and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Qualifications
  • Basic level experience in accounting management (combination of education/experience).
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
