Responsibilities
  • Ensure plans and programs for strategic vendor sourcing & develop programs per category.
  • Managing procurement strategies for assigned categories (Stock Plan/Open to Buy).
  • Develop Category promotions, highlights for revenue drivers
  • Manage category margins that will support bottom line profits.
  • Forecast sales, inventory, & margins to support business objectives
  • Provide leadership to direct reports – category managers for performance management
  • Demonstrate and promote organizational vision and mission
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in any Business Course.
  • At least 2-3 year(s) of Merchandising/Category Management experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • With experience in managing people
  • Willing to be assigned to one (1) of the following categories: Paints & Chemicals, Tools & Automotives, Electrical (accessories/lighting), or Housewares
