The Energy & Power Engineer at Globe plays a critical role in implementing supply contracts to ensure 100%, 24/7, Renewable Energy (RE) at competitive rates. The role involves collecting and analyzing energy data to support electricity cost strategies and assess site-level energy performance in line with ISO 50001 standards. Responsibilities include executing the RE roadmap, maintaining the energy management playbook and site energy dashboards, managing supply and technical contracts, and analyzing energy consumption and cost trends. The position also ensures regulatory compliance, facilitates the recovery of refunds, advances, and receivables, and provides solutions for operational efficiency and strategic power supply procurement. Responsibilities Support power supply procurement by providing accurate energy data, conducting market analysis, evaluating technical and commercial aspects of supplier offers, and assisting in contract review, negotiation, and switching processes. Oversee the implementation of supply contracts under Retail Competition & Open Access (RCOA), Green Energy Option Program (GEOP), and Retail Aggregation Program (RAP), ensuring key contract provisions are met and that a 100%, 24/7 renewable energy (RE) supply is delivered. Conduct initial electricity cost profiling and market rate analysis to support forecasting, budgeting, and the development of cost optimization strategies. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including Retail Electricity Suppliers (RES), Distribution Utilities (DU) or Electric Cooperatives (EC), Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP), Department of Energy (DOE), and the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). Handle the processing and recovery of bill deposits, security/meter deposits, project-related cash advances, and other receivables. Ensure effective implementation of the ISO-certified Energy Management System (EnMS) across certifiable and implementable sites, including energy reviews, performance monitoring, data consolidation and verification, audit preparation, management reviews, and corrective actions. Ensure Globe’s compliance with applicable energy laws and regulations, including RA 11285 (Energy Efficiency & Conservation Act), RA 9136 (EPIRA), and RA 9513 (Renewable Energy Act), through timely report submissions, conduct of energy audits, compliance with WESM protocols, and adherence to DOE and ERC directives. Develop and implement strategies related to RE transitioning, regulatory compliance, energy consumption reduction, efficiency improvement, and energy project execution. KPIs Harness cost avoidances from RCOA, GEOP, and RAP. Reduce Scope 2 GHG Emission Under Electricity Secure ISO 50001:2018 Certification 100% Compliance in Reportorial Submissions and Conduct of Energy Audits Reduce energy consumption and increase in energy efficiency Recover bill deposit refunds and project cash advances Top 3-5 Deliverables Support and execute the RE Transition Plan under RCOA, GEOP, and RAP. Realize Mn Php of cost avoidances from supply contracts and recovered deposits and advances. Maintain ISO 50001:2018 (Energy Management System) certification. Achieve energy efficiency and conservation targets across key sites. Complete submission of energy utilization, energy efficiency & conservation, and energy audit reports.
