Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
  • Oversee the accounting operations of the subsidiary corporations and its other affiliated companies, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures
  • Formulates plans to improve the company’s reporting system and ensure timely delivery of financial reports
  • Analyse and ensure accurate and appropriate (a) recording of daily transactions; (b) analysis of revenues and expenses and; (c) other financial entries, documents, and reports
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of company’s accounting control procedures
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements, accounting reports and schedule
  • Prepares corporate monthly, quarterly and annual management financial report
  • Prepares consolidated Financial Statements
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Maintain banking relationships
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements as set by BIR, SEC, LGU, SSS, PHIC, HDMF, and other governing/regulatory bodies
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
  • Prepares the annual financial statements and notes to the financial statements of the subsidiary and affiliated companies of the Group
  • Report financial results to the board of directors
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA highly preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management
  • Strong understanding of Philippine taxation and regulatory compliance (BIR/SEC)
  • Proven leadership, analytical, and communication abilities
  • Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
