Job Summary

The General Accounting Officer is responsible for managing the organization's overall accounting functions, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, compliance with tax regulations, and month-end and year-end financial closing processes. The role demands a seasoned CPA with extensive experience in accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and enterprise resource planning systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Prior experience in telecommunications, BOI reporting, and Oracle NetSuite ERP is highly preferred.Key Responsibilities/Duties
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Manage all aspects of tax compliance including computation, filing, and payment for BIR and SEC requirements.
  • Oversee general accounting functions, including bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost-saving or operational improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory reporting, including BOI submissions if applicable.
  • Maintain and utilize Oracle NetSuite ERP system for efficient financial operations and reporting.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic planning and decision making.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Requirements: Qualifications:
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
  • Must be Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Knowledgeable in Financial Statement preparation and analysis
  • Knowledgeable in tax computation and compliance as well as filing with BIR and SEC
  • Experience with general accounting such as month-end closing, journal entries, and reconciliation
  • Ability to analyze financial data, provide recommendations, and implement process improvements
  • Can start as soon as possible and willing to work in San Juan City
Experience:
  • With ten (10) years experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Preferably with BOI Reporting experience
  • Preferably with working knowledge in telecommunication and project management operations.
  • Knowledgeable in Oracle NetSuite ERP System
