Project Officer – Siargao (Filipino Nationals Only) Join to apply for the Project Officer – Siargao (Filipino Nationals Only) role at ReliefWeb Posted 9 Oct 2025 – Closing 8 Nov 2025 Duration: 6 months (possible extension) | Start: ASAP Key Responsibilities Assist the Head of Project (HOP) in planning, managing, coordinating, implementing and monitoring project activities in line with Action Against Hunger policy and donor guidelines. Ensure effective implementation of planned activities through proper coordination and follow‑up of operational support needed from the base operations team. Lead the consolidation of field progress reports and other project‑related reports from Field Officers. Function as lead for governance activities involving provincial and municipal local government units for sustainability. Objectives Objective 1: Planning & Implementation Develop a workplan with HOP to ensure efficient implementation. Review planning weekly with HOP. Manage assigned project budget. Manage project team and ensure implementation plans are followed. Lead governance activities in covered areas. Provide inputs for monthly financial forecast and coordinate with logistics, HR and finance staff. Provide regular reports to HOP updating activities and challenges. Objective 2: Representation & Coordination Represent Action Against Hunger with LGUs in project areas. Coordinate with other Heads of Projects and humanitarian actors to plan and use resources efficiently. Ensure project activities are coordinated with relevant agencies and stakeholders. Support establishment of necessary MoUs/MoAs with partners. Objective 3: Monitoring & Reporting Support development of a MEAL plan addressing internal and external reporting requirements. Provide regular inputs to HOP to ensure accurate reporting on indicators. Provide narrative inputs for narrative reports to HOP. Ensure proper and timely archiving of sources of verification. Screen all received documents and ensure beneficiaries comply with required standards. Qualifications Degree in social science, environmental science, natural resource management or related discipline (master’s an advantage). Technical knowledge: current state of DRR/CCA, WASH and FSL in the country. Excellent Project Cycle Management and budget management knowledge. Previous exposure in assessment, monitoring, evaluation during emergency responses. Experience implementing and managing multi‑sectorial projects. Governance experience in DRR, WASH, FSL, waste management, green economy, environment and climate change projects. Knowledge in partnerships development and alliances; risk mitigation experience; strong facilitation skills; excellent technical writing. Previous experience: at least 2 years in a similar or related position; at least 2 years in I/NGOs, LGUs or NGAs; capacity building and project management; geographical context knowledge preferred. Experience in rapid response and anticipatory action interventions desirable. Excellent written and spoken English and Tagalog; local language in working area is an asset. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook). Willing to be based in Siargao and able to travel extensively. Prior experience in gender equality and child rights issues or commitment to gender equality and child rights. Remuneration Package Compensation: based on Action Against Hunger grid.
