Overview

Responsible for delivery of finance processes and outcomes within a specific Finance Discipline. Competent finance practitioner with technical expertise gained through professional accounting or other finance qualifications, and/or by experience; and able to apply relevant technical knowledge, experience and expertise to management of routine finance processes and demands for adhoc information requests or completion of special assignments.

Capable of analyzing and evaluating financial problems, accounting or control issues, drawing conclusions and making appropriate recommendations to support management decision-making. While primarily an individual contributor a Finance Practitioner may be capable of supervising the work of less experienced colleagues or a small team of people, if required, in line with established corporate standards for people management and to promote effective teamwork and operational performance against agreed objectives.

Responsibilities

• Applies accounting rules and procedures to ensure local compliance with documented procedures and accounting standards in posting General Ledger journals
• Ensures Month-end deadlines are consistently met to the right level of accuracy and detail
• Prepare/Review Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Financial Analysis – work cycle revolves around Project Accounting spanning analysis of monthly reports and recording of revenue and costs relevant in performance assessments of Projects
• Forecasting – work cycle revolves around Project Accounting spanning analysis of monthly reports and forecasting of revenue & costs relevant in performance assessments of Projects
• Prepare Monthly Financial Reports and other ad hoc requests as may be required by the business
• Reviews output from all internal and external audits and follows up with recommendations for improvement in process and control as required
• Provide critical support to Oceania Finance Management and Head of different Line of Business
• Play a key role in the preparation and submission of Profit & Loss Analysis, Variance analysis and Bridging report

Qualifications

• Must be BS Accountancy graduate or any finance related course/CPA
• SAP experience (Oracle will do)
• Strong background in GL
• Strong background in Forecasting, Profit/Loss Analysis
