Senior Accounting Specialist – AP/AR/GL plays a critical role in managing client engagements and ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL), plus other accounting tasks as assigned.

The role requires a solid foundation in accounting principles, standards, taxation, and client-specific policies, with the ability to deliver high-quality work, maintain strong client relationships, and guide junior staff. It also contributes to process improvements and upholds Firm quality standards.

• Engagement Management
• Understand the client’s business and industry to perform and manage the job.
• Apply accounting principles, standards, taxation, and relevant laws to assigned tasks.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the client’s accounting policies.
• Use job-related tools (e.g., Oracle, QuickBooks, MS Office) as applicable.
• Perform duties and responsibilities assigned by the client.
• Keep authorized client officers updated on work progress; provide feedback on deliverables and issues.
• Coordinate with relationship partners such as client suppliers/customers and government agencies as necessary.
• Communicate fieldwork-related issues promptly and suggest actions.
• Validate engagement findings with the client.
• Ensure deliverables are accurate, complete, and on time.
• Maintain a calendar of deliverables to meet deadlines.
• Ensure deliverables are sent to authorized recipients and kept confidential when required.
• Adapt to different work assignments while upholding ethical standards.
• Remain objective when weighing opinions; discuss matters openly with teammates and superiors.
• Seek and recommend more efficient ways to achieve objectives.
• Remain receptive to new ideas and positive in adopting new approaches.
• Perform other tasks as delegated by superiors.
• Relationship Management
• Promote the Firm’s image through professionalism and client relations.
• Communicate with the client regarding work progress in coordination with supervisor.
• Listen to client concerns and recommend solutions while maintaining objectivity and independence.
• Work harmoniously with the team.
• Participate in Firm and BPS Division activities.
• Maintain a positive attitude when accepting assignments.
• People Management
• Mentor and guide junior staff to reach their potential.
• Lead coaching activities.
• Professional Development
• Attend on-the-job training or seminars for development.
• Request Performance Appraisal Reports and complete an Individual Development Plan.
• Engage with mentors and participate in coaching.
• Practice Development Functions
• Assist in assessing potential clients’ requirements.
• Suggest improvements in Firm processes and participate in client meetings.
• Administrative Functions
• Comply with administrative processes; submit time reports and reimbursements promptly.
• Attend team meetings and maintain confidentiality of engagement information.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Three to five years of accounting experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and a positive work attitude
