Sr. Accountant

Sr. Accountant – Cloudstaff We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team at Cloudstaff. The role is work from home, full time, with a night shift schedule. Location can be any Cloudstaff branch (Angeles, Mabalacat, Makati, Ortigas, Tarlac, Davao, Cebu). The successful candidate will act as a core member in our client relationships, providing financial reporting, bookkeeping, technology implementation and quality control. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of staff accountants and bookkeepers, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and professional growth. Oversee client financials: conduct month‑end reviews, account reconciliations, journal entries, and other financial adjustments to maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records. Generate clear and actionable monthly or quarterly dashboards and provide clients with insights into their financial health. Leverage cloud‑based accounting systems and web‑based tools for accounts payable, reporting, payroll and client communications; train clients and team members on these systems. Perform quality assurance checks on junior staff deliverables to uphold the accuracy and integrity of client work. Qualifications and Experience Extensive knowledge of balance sheet and income (P&L) statement accounts and GAAP. Experience using cloud‑based accounting platforms (Xero preferred; QBO beneficial) and project/task/practice management software (Canopy preferred – other tools acceptable). Public accounting experience, handling multiple clients within a CPA firm or similar environment; reviewing about 25 clients and managing around 50% of workload. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor junior accountants. Proficient with Google Suite and comfortable using macOS.
