The Art Director acts as a key contributor in operationalizing design strategies for print, document, and multimedia workstreams. The Art Director will spearhead design and implementation of new and cutting-edge on-brand campaigns, both digital and print. The Art Director has prior EY background in stakeholder management, understands EY Alliances and internal BMC processes.

Type of employment : Permanent

Graduation : Bachelor’s degree in or education of 10+2+3 years in any discipline (preferably in Graphic Design). Portfolio of past projects is required.

Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and formulate creative themes, layout designs, and presentation approaches for print, digital, and multimedia deliverables.
  • Specify materials such as style, type, photographs, graphics, animation, video, and sound; guide production from concept through to final output.
  • Maintain knowledge of tools and resources used by the firm; evaluate new technologies for potential adoption.
  • Guide the team in conceptualizing creative infographics, mind maps, and frameworks in PowerPoint and print.
  • Manage routine MS Office design projects from concept through production; prioritize work and balance multiple priorities to meet client commitments and deadlines.
  • Engage with clients at project inception to deliver customized solutions; present final layouts for approval; discuss objectives, budget, and presentation approaches.
  • Train and direct staff who develop design concepts for layouts or printing; coordinate with Creative, Art, Copy-writing, and Production heads.
  • Produce and review final layouts; ensure adherence to EY brand, guidelines, and quality standards; provide direction on photo shoots and imagery.
  • Work with illustrators and team members to create custom illustrations or other graphic elements; develop innovative storyboards and layouts for client deliverables.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, devices, and digital media needs; analyze competitor strategies; contribute to services strategy and acceptance.
  • Define standards and best practices; share leading practices across the firm in design.
  • Lead and develop a team of design and creative professionals; recruit, train, and develop team members to deliver innovative, value-added work.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with presentation and graphics software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Acrobat, and related suites).
Qualifications
  • Essential: MS Office – PowerPoint/Word/Excel; Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Experience with EY Alliance and BMC processes is preferred.
  • Portfolio of past projects is required; prior experience as an Art Director within the EY environment is noted.
  • Strong understanding of EY brand and visual identity guidelines; ability to adhere to VI and branding standards.
