Provide expertise and guidance on database design and best practices. Job Responsibilities: Manage and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and performance Monitor database performance and implement necessary changes to optimize efficiency Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures Ensure data integrity and security across all database systems Collaborate with development teams to support database-related needs and projects Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly Develop and maintain documentation for database operations and procedures Implement and manage database security measures Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Provide support for database-related issues and queries. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field Minimum of 4 years related experience Strong knowledge of SQL Server (versions 2016, 2017, 2019, 2022) and SQL Express Experience with database performance tuning and optimization In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database administration, including database design, installation, configuration, and maintenance Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as AlwaysOn availability groups and clustering Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions Good understanding of formal processes such as ITIL, Change Control, Issue Management etc, and be comfortable working to those processes. Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g. Azure). Preferred Certification in SQL Server or other relevant database technologies.
