We are looking for a Freelance Market Researcher who is detail-oriented, resourceful, and driven by data. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and a passion for uncovering market intelligence. You will play a key role in identifying high-value company and leadership targets, delivering actionable insights that inform investment and acquisition strategies. Your research will directly support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.

Overview Responsibilities
  • Market Mapping: Pinpoint and evaluate companies with strong potential for exit opportunities within target sectors such as healthcare, biotech, and advanced manufacturing.
  • Leadership Profiling: Identify and assess CEOs and senior leaders with established histories of driving business growth through to successful acquisitions or exits.
  • Deal Value Assessment: Research and compile comprehensive data on past transactions, including deal sizes, structures, and the strategic motivations behind them.
  • Market Trend Reporting: Track and interpret industry shifts and sentiment, delivering succinct reports and executive briefings for the investment team.
  • Actionable Insight Delivery: Translate research findings into clear, practical recommendations that enable investment and portfolio teams to act quickly on opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in market research, data analysis, or related fields
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-moving investment environment, balancing depth of analysis with speed of delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in collecting and analysing data to uncover trends, opportunities, and potential risks.

Freelance engagement (6 months), with potential for extension
