They work closely with individuals and DTC brands to reduce landfill waste and create a new model for sustainable consumption. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Own full‑cycle accounting (journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close) Maintain and reconcile prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and inventory Create fixed asset schedules and accounting reports from scratch Reconcile Shopify/Stripe flows and investigate discrepancies Support SOP creation and financial process documentation Assist in U.S. GAAP compliance and internal controls Collaborate closely with the Finance Lead on ad hoc projects Potential to expand into tax compliance (e.g., TaxJar) and other areas over time QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3–5+ years of full‑cycle U.S. accounting experience, preferably in e‑commerce or startup environments Proficiency and hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online is required Strong understanding of reconciliations and general ledger ownership Comfortable creating accounting schedules and investigating variances Experience in e‑commerce or inventory‑heavy environments is a plus Familiarity with tools like Stripe, Shopify, Bill.com, A2X, or TaxJar is a bonus Confident communicator in English (written and spoken) Strong attention to detail and natural sense of accountability TOOLS & SYSTEMS QuickBooks Online (must‑have) Stripe, Shopify (preferred) Bill.com, Gusto, TaxJar, A2X (nice‑to‑have) Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling and schedules ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Personal equipment: at least 2 monitors, reliable internet, and a dedicated private workspace free from distractions, ensuring confidentiality & optimal focus DESCRIPTION OF IDEAL CANDIDATE Proactive & Resourceful – You take initiative, own outcomes, and figure things out without needing to be told twice Detail‑Oriented & Process‑Minded – You build structure out of chaos and never let a variance go unresolved Trustworthy & Accountable – You act with integrity, own your responsibilities, and follow through consistently Collaborative & Communicative – You work independently but know when to raise your hand, ask questions, or share updates Growth‑Driven – You want to stay and grow with the team long‑term, not just clock in and out Adaptable – You’re excited by change, curious about new tools, and confident stepping into the unknown Are you the Senior Accountant we’re looking for?
