The role provides a combination of investment banking, private equity, and renewable energy project development experience in an exciting industry with multicultural and regional collaboration across its offices in Asia.
Responsibilities- Create and manage extensive financial models and conduct quantitative analyses on key investment targets;
- Identify new opportunities and formulate robust investment cases and proposals in the renewable energy industry;
- Conduct due diligence processes and identify key flaws and upsides on potential acquisitions and strategic joint venture partnerships;
- Work with the team and other related departments to raise project finance debt and equity funding;
- Assist in contract negotiations of key commercial agreements;
- Assist in day-to-day requirements of Lenders and JV Partners;
- Assist in the corporate finance and restructuring workstreams to meet the requirements of the business;
- Assist in corporate governance and structuring to protect shareholder and investor interests;
- Assist in both buy-side (M&A) and sell-side transactions (Strategic JVs) in due diligence and execution of transactions;
- Support the team in preparation of internal memos required for investment approval;
- Maintain asset management reports for PH renewable energy portfolio for the various stakeholders;
- Work with regional counterparts as the need arises;
- Understand the interplay of the various facets of the business (e.g. technical, finance, community relations, etc.) to create recommendations for corporate decisions;
- Collaborate with professionals from different backgrounds and points of view to create solutions and mitigate risks; and
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- BS/BA in Management Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or any related fields
- 4 to 7 years in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity functions
- Proficient in financial modeling, valuations, and quantitative analysis
- Ability to work on several projects concurrently, and the willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
