Human Resources and Recruitment work for Stratpoint The Role The Head of Presales Engineering for Software Services is a senior-level position and pivotal role that bridges technical expertise and strategic sales acumen within the software services business unit. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by aligning customer needs with the business unit’s sales strategies and ensuring the successful closure of sales opportunities. The SBSM owns a sales revenue target together with the business unit head, works closely with cross-functional teams, and acts as a trusted advisor to clients. Once opportunities are won, they are handed over to the delivery team for execution. Your Team Reports directly to the Business Unit Head. Working directly with the Sales to identify opportunities that are aligned to the OKRs. Working directly with the Pre‑Sales team to provide guidance to the solution to increase probability of winning the opportunity. Working indirectly with the Delivery teams for technical guidance on delivery especially aligning the solutions design during sales and during delivery handover. Working indirectly with the company’s executive leadership team for further aligning on business goals, progress and directions. We work closely with our business partners, the household brands in technology, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft and Outsystems. Your Responsibilities: a) Strategic Sales Enablement Partner with sales to identify, qualify, and prioritize software development opportunities aligned with business goals. Co‑own revenue targets and craft winning strategies for complex software development deals. Collaborate with sales, solutions, and strategy teams to ensure optimal resource allocation and financial performance. b) Decisions on Solution Design and Validation Analyze customer requirements and guide solution teams in designing scalable, cost‑effective software solutions. Oversee creation of proofs of concept (PoCs) to validate proposed solutions and demonstrate value. Ensure solution scope and design align with customer objectives, technical feasibility, and project timelines. c) Customer Technical Advisory in Sales Act as a trusted technical advisor, addressing customer challenges with strategic software recommendations. Deliver technical presentations and workshops that build customer confidence in proposed solutions. Stay current on emerging technologies to provide forward‑thinking insights during sales engagements. d) Handoff to Delivery Team Ensure clear documentation of solution designs and customer requirements for seamless project transition. Collaborate with delivery teams to confirm alignment on technical scope, timelines, and success criteria. Facilitate smooth knowledge transfer from pre‑sales to delivery to maintain continuity and quality. e) Customer Relationship Management During Sales Build strong relationships with key customer decision‑makers and act as the primary technical escalation point. Foster trust by aligning client expectations and ensuring satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. Maintain transparent communication to reinforce long‑term partnership confidence. f) Metrics and Reporting Track and report key sales performance metrics such as revenue targets, win rates, and client satisfaction. Maintain a robust and healthy sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth opportunities. Provide data‑driven insights to leadership for sales forecasting and strategy refinement. About You a) Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, pre‑sales, technical sales management, or software development consulting. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in the software development industry. b) Technical Skills Strong understanding of software development methodologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Agile, DevOps, cloud platforms, microservices). Experience designing and delivering custom software solutions, including APIs, integrations, and enterprise applications. Familiarity with programming languages, software architecture, and system design principles. c) Business and Soft Skills Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills to address complex customer requirements. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
