Overview JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Director of ln-house Projects, Facility and Safety Compliance, leads the management of all in-house project designs, facility renovations and constructions in collaboration with the Project Engineering and Building and Grounds Team. He will ensure the availability of patient rooms, upkeep of building and grounds and manage all environmental safety and health compliance that are essential in the medical center's operations in adherence to laws and regulations, minimize the risk of accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents and implement energy-efficient technologies and waste reduction strategies. KEY FUNCTIONS Facilitates the planning and organizing of the FME ln-house Projects, Facility and Safety Compliance departments for the purpose of achieving its business objectives. Manages all in-house project designs, ensuring that all facility renovations and constructions are aligned with hospital standards, regulatory codes, and best practices for patient care environments. Enforces and monitors compliance with all safety regulations, including Joint commission standards, conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a safe and compliant healthcare facility. Conducts risk assessments to identify potential hazards within the hospital premises and implement necessary mitigation strategies. Coordinate with the safety team to manage and address risks, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Creates, updates, and enforce policies and procedures related to facility safety, emergency preparedness, and fire safety. Lead training sessions for staff on safety protocols and emergency response to ensure readiness and compliance. Work closely with the engineering, maintenance, and clinical departments to ensure that all decision and construction activities support hospital operations, patient safety, and staff efficiency, while meeting all required safety standards. Leads and guides the activities of EHS & business continuity, ln-house Projects and facility development and extends technical and administrative support whenever required Collaborates and consults with other functional groups, committees and other research teams in evaluation and possible implementation of proposals for process improvement related to engineering and facility maintenance EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer or Licensed Architect Certified Safety Practitioner; (preferably) Certified Pollution Control Officer (preferably) WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum of 10 years technical work experience in hospital facilities maintenance and/or engineering and building maintenance and/or major construction with manpower and vendor management and experience in QA/QC. 5 years managerial experience BEHAVIORAL / TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Must be computer literate Must be familiar with and able to handle safety architectural, civil and basic electrical works. Project Management People Management Can read and interpret engineering and designs plans, specifications and details. OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS Knowledge on basic fire-fighting and hazardous incidents, principle of accident prevention. AutoCAD Proficient and knowledgeable in 3D presentation, project cost estimates, implementation and coordination phase, quality check and quality assurance, leadership skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
