Senior Architect

Senior Architect Senior Architect is responsible for managing technical aspects of larger and or more complex tasks or components of projects. He/ she will manage the delivery of elements of larger projects in accordance with Arcadis management systems to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets. Assigned to provide a controlling technical role on medium size and/or moderately complex tasks in single discipline and coordinate and manage teams of single discipline designers and technicians. Role Accountabilities Perform role in accordance with Arcadis behavioral framework. Promote and role model Arcadis Health and Safety Principles during planning and delivery of work. Review and quality assure work of other staff prior to delivery to meet client brief requirements. Develop and propose potential solutions to exceed client expectations and guide project team through creative decision‑making process. Oversee agreed scope of work and operational workload of project team ensuring appropriate work allocation and full resource utilization. Manage production of project deliverables to meet or exceed client expectations, Arcadis requirements and national standards and codes of practice. Work collaboratively with other sectors/disciplines to ensure overall design integrity and resolve complex technical issues. Identify opportunities for Arcadis process improvements that enhance quality and efficiency. Lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members, supporting their delivery and professional development. Develop effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure effective communication of progress, changes and issue resolution. Take responsibility and accountability for own performance and that of junior team members. Develop and review budgets for GEC scope elements of a project. Qualifications & Experience Registered Architect with demonstrable experience on a wide range of complex projects at different stages. Proficient in Design, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite, Lumion, Enscape. Minimum 10 years’ experience architecture design works. Knowledgeable in Navisworks and clash detection is an advantage. Understand design process and ability to deliver from concept into detail design and identify and design key details to project completion. Understanding detail for compliance requirements e.g., building regulations and working knowledge of Region’s Building Systems, Regulations and construction types required for this role. Highly computer literate, skilled in Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications. Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbally to liaise with other disciplines/ team members and visually using software or hand drawing skills. Relevant exposure in handling UK projects is an advantage. Familiar with international design codes, particular to UK.
