Job Summary:
The Warehouse Coder is responsible for assigning item codes and labeling all incoming goods accurately before they proceed to sorting and auction preparation. This role ensures that each item is traceable, accounted for, and matches the internal system requirements. Accuracy, speed, and focus are essential in this position to avoid errors that affect pricing and inventory tracking.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assign accurate item codes and labels to newly arrived stocks following the warehouse system. ▪ Ensure codes match item descriptions, categories, and auction requirements.
Inspect each item briefly before coding to verify its condition and type.
Tag or label items using appropriate materials (stickers, tags, tape) based on item size and packaging.
Coordinate with the warehouse head and auction team for special coding instructions or adjustments.
Maintain coding logs or reports as instructed.
Report any untaggable or questionable items to the supervisor.
Ensure that items are coded quickly but with high accuracy to prevent delays in auction flow.
Support the warehouse team during sorting or staging when available.
Qualifications:
College Graduate, any course
Fast learner, alert, and attentive to detail
Can work while standing for long periods in a hot and dusty warehouse
Fast and good handwriting and basic organization skills
Able to work under pressure
Must be reliable, trustworthy, and can follow instructions accurately
Must be physically fit and alert, especially during heavy coding days
Highly dependable and responsible with minimal supervision
Experience in item documentation or inventory is an advantage
