Technical Writer and Training Specialist

Schedule: Monday to Friday (06:00 AM-03:00 PM PHT) Responsibilities & Accountabilities Training Coordinator Manage incoming requests for Instructor Led training courses, ensuring minimum course numbers have been met, that all stakeholders are adequately notified of required information to attend training in the Sydney training centre. Maintain trainee records on the FB Learning system. In discussion with the NETS team, make the necessary course updates. Manage incoming requests and ensure effective course enrolment. eLearning Development – Design, develop, communicate, and help promote online training courses including the creation of course materials, exercises, and skill assessments. Review Technical Bulletins, making changes and updates where necessary. Work within the agreed timeframes provided. Provide a high standard of accuracy, and make necessary checks with the NETS PIC prior to submission. Technical Writer Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify, research, and develop e-learning course content Continually build synergies with all the NETS Specialists including attendance at NETS team meetings. Maintain a current listing of NETS ‘Instructor Led’ and ‘eLearning’ courses and keep record of facilitator trained state. Provide monthly updates on training course completions while identifying focus areas to drive improvements for cost savings. Possess a continuous improvement mindset with the improvement of training courses to reflect business, industry, and service delivery standards. Review incoming trainee feedback surveys and implement continuous improvements into existing and new training programs. Online Content Creator Contribute to in‑house video and still‑photography productions. Collaborate with in‑house subject matter experts, trainers, instructional designers, website and LMS publishers to develop engaging online training content. Create comprehensive eLearning storyboards and video scripts. Design and develop training content using the Adobe Creative Cloud and Articulate software suites, including graphics, audio, and video. Create UI and software simulations to be used for customer support and online learning. Conduct video production and editing using the Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects CC, Adobe Photoshop). Arrange thorough testing and validation of training content to ensure ease of use, clarity, and grammatical correctness prior to release. Develop online Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) forms for technical competency evaluations. AI and Automation Integrate AI technologies for writing technical content where possible, ensuring quality checks are performed for accuracy Develop new team processes and review existing ones to ensure they stay up to date for compliance and auditing purposes. Communication & Operational Excellence Possess a high standard of communication skills. Establish project deliverables and timelines. Identify opportunities for improvement, update required processes, and see these through to completion in line with compliance standards. Identify any operational risks or concerns and communicate these to the NETS Manager prior to commencement. Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. Personal Leadership Build, foster, and sustain a culture of openness, feedback, and empowerment. Communicate across divisions and the broader organisation to build understanding, alignment, and engagement. Skills and Qualifications Graphic Design experience (minimum 2 years). Adobe Premiere (or similar) – for video creation and editing. Articulate (or similar) – for eLearning development.
