Position Title: Interaction Designer
Reports to: Lead Interaction Designer and Head of Interaction Design
Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize ideas to address user pain points and solve complex design roadblocks
  • Create user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas to fellow designers and stakeholders
  • Design effective user interfaces for both desktop and mobile platforms using different design and prototyping tools
  • Prepare visual mock-ups and final design assets to handover to the clients and developers
  • Work closely with the Lead UX Designer and Project Manager to set client expectations, project deliverables and key milestones
  • Collaborate with the developers and UX designers to ensure that designs are doable and are implemented at a high degree of quality
  • Give thoughtful and actionable design feedback to all members of the team
  • Present the design studies and ideas effectively to the design team and stakeholders, if necessary.
Requirements
  • Enthusiasm and passion for great products and services and the ability to articulate product functionality visually and verbally
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups
  • Highly organized, taking individual initiative and accountability for getting results
  • A strong interest in design and technology trends. Familiarity with current mobile design paradigms.
  • Curiosity to know how things work, and ability to use that knowledge to make connections and find opportunities
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Excellent understanding of visual and user interface design principles with a strong portfolio and ability to communicate rationale behind decisions
  • Good eye for detail and values the quality of work that the team produces
  • Strong understanding of frontend and backend engineering processes and constraints
  • Proficient in Figma, Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other industry standard design and wireframing tools
  • Experience in designing experiences that people can access on any type of device, desktop, tablet, phone
  • Experience in creating basic prototypes for presenting user flows to peers and clients
  • Knowledge with a wide range of client-side and related technologies including, HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a big plus.
