Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing team. As a Junior Accountant at MetroMart , you will play a key role in supporting the company’s accounting functions, contributing to a smooth and efficient financial reporting process. Key Responsibilities Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis, particularly related to digital assets. Assist with tax-related activities and maintain relevant records. Manage and support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. Maintain supporting schedules for various entities and accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies. Help in the development and implementation of scalable accounting processes for timely and accurate financial reporting. Participate in automation projects aimed at improving the speed and efficiency of the monthly close process. Assist in the design and implementation of new policies, procedures, and internal controls. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate and consistent. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort and streamline workflows. Provide support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility. Take on ad-hoc accounting projects as needed. Qualifications 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of financial analysis and balance sheet management. Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets; experience with advanced functions is a plus. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively. Ability to work under pressure and take on new challenges and responsibilities. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. A collaborative, proactive mindset and a desire to contribute to a dynamic team environment. Basic knowledge of blockchain technology and the crypto industry is desirable but not required. Must be willing to report onsite in Poblacion, Makati.
