MFI Polytechnic Institute is hiring an Associate Technical Writer (Editorial) to help build and maintain our Learnware Development Standard (LDS) —industry term: Learning Content Development Standard (LCDS) . You’ll turn faculty/SME inputs into clear, consistent learning materials (syllabi, modules, lesson plans, assessments, rubrics, lab manuals/SOPs) and run the content workflow from draft to publication (LMS/print/PDF).

Responsibilities
  • Apply and improve the LDS/LCDS: templates, style guide, terminology, metadata, and review gates.
  • Create/maintain masters for syllabi, lesson/module guides, assessments & rubrics, lab manuals/SOPs, student handouts/FAQs.
  • Turn SME inputs into plain-language, student-ready content; perform editorial QA and formatting.
  • Manage document control (file naming, control numbers, change logs, access) in Google Drive/LMS; export error-free PDFs.
  • Check alignment with TESDA/DepEd documentation basics and RA 10173 (Data Privacy); apply basic citation (APA/Chicago).
  • Support quick primers/checklists and short how-to decks to drive faculty adoption.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in English/Communication/Education/Journ/Technical Writing or STEM/Engineering (preferred).
  • 0–2 years relevant experience (internships, campus publications, capstone documentation, or SOP/manual writing count).
  • Strong writing/editing and information design; comfortable with MS Word/Google Docs (styles, Track Changes/Suggesting).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-reliable; Filipino & English proficiency.
  • Nice to have: exposure to TVET/Higher Ed, LMS (Google Classroom/Moodle), basic diagramming (draw.io/Lucidchart), or simple layout (Slides/Canva).
