Job Description At Western Digital, we’re building technology that powers the world’s data. Our CTO Office team is on a rare zero-to-one journey : designing a brand-new analog/RF integrated circuit that will impact every future HDD product—enterprise, client, platform, and archive. What You’ll Work On You’ll join a collaborative, global team of experts in analog, RF, digital, CAD, and layout design. Every day brings new challenges, and you’ll get exposure to the full design cycle : Designing and simulating high-performance analog and RF circuits at the transistor level. Debugging block-level designs and contributing to circuit verification. Collaborating on future architectures and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Testing real silicon in the lab, connecting simulation to bench results. Partnering across disciplines to deliver first-of-its-kind technology. First 90 Days → Ramp up with mentorship, debug designs, and participate in verification. First Year → Grow into circuit architecture contributions, develop independence, and build credibility across the team. Beyond → Own designs that ship into production and influence the direction of next-generation HDD products. Qualifications What We’re Looking For We’re open to candidates with MS or PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics. What matters most is your curiosity, creativity, and drive to innovate. You’ll thrive here if you bring: A strong foundation in CMOS analog and RF circuit design. Coursework or experience in semiconductor physics, amplifiers, mixers, converters, or drivers. Comfort with industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Siemens, Synopsys, Ansys). Experience through research, internships, or projects that demonstrate circuit innovation. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across global teams.
