Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Datacom Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines

Responsibilities
  • API testing and API frameworks using Java libraries or other programming languages (C#, Typescript, Ruby, Python, etc.).
  • Playwright-driven test automation along with the standard Senior Test Automation Engineer responsibilities including good communication and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge and exposure to API testing tools (SoapUI and Postman) is a plus.
  • Understand integration testing principles and related concepts.
  • Detailed test planning for API (Spring Boot) services.
  • Designing scalable automated integration test frameworks and test scripts; pushing to the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues.
  • Knowledge of performance testing and experience implementing performance tests for API-based applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in an agile setup with active participation in all agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to improve test automation strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Working experience with message streaming platforms like MQ and Kafka.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in API testing and API frameworks using Java libraries or other programming languages (C#, TypeScript, Ruby, Python, etc.).
  • Experience with Playwright and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (SoapUI and Postman) is a plus.
  • Understanding of integration testing principles.
  • Detailed test planning for API services (Spring Boot).
  • Ability to design scalable automated integration test frameworks and tests; experience with CI/CD.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Experience in performance testing of API-based applications.
  • 3+ years in an agile environment and participation in agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborative mindset to improve test automation strategies in line with business goals.
  • Experience with MQ, Kafka is a plus.
Nice to have
  • Java, JUnit, RestAssured, Spring Boot basics.
  • IDE: IntelliJ, VSCode.
  • Other tools: JMeter, Splunk queries, Jenkins, OpenShift deployments, Azure AKS, Jira, Confluence.
