Regional Purchasing Executive, APAC

Overview

As the Regional Purchasing Executive, you will handle regional purchases and ensure timely delivery of products to our sites and customers. You will collaborate closely with vendors, local countries, supply chain, commercial, procurement and finance colleagues across Asia Pacific. You will be the anchor point that ensures vendors meet the agreed delivery dates and support our journey to success. Regional Purchasing is currently undergoing a transformation in a fast-paced environment, and you will be integral to developing this regional function.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all order requisitions (OR) are converted into Purchase Orders (PO) with the necessary approvals.
• Create, update and release POs in our ERP system, JD Edwards (JDE).
• Chase Order Confirmations, follow-up on POs with Principals and Suppliers, validate pricing, conditions and delivery dates.
• Support Commercial and Procurement on vendor price updates in JDE.
• Develop close relationships with vendors and monitor delivery timeliness, handle deviations and claims.
• Check and validate commercial terms on purchase orders versus Agreements.
• Serve as the liaison between local countries, Supply Chain, Commercial and vendor.
• Facilitate shipments and work directly with import agents/freight forwarders to ensure efficient deliveries.
• Generate/establish reports and dashboards to communicate vendor performance to stakeholders.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings, projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and alignment across the organization.

Job Requirements

We expect you to bring a can-do attitude to the table and to ensure deliveries On-Time-In-Full (OTIF). You should have strong business acumen, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a results-oriented mindset with drive for success. You should be able to negotiate in a simple, respectful and convincing way to gain vendor support. The following qualifications apply:

• Minimum 5–10 years of hands-on experience in purchasing operations within a regional or global supply chain environment.
• Proven track record in managing end-to-end purchasing processes — from PO generation and booking, to shipping (logistics) and documentation.
• Experience working within the APAC region, with a strong understanding of regional trade, import/export regulations, and logistics requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across different cultures, teams and levels of the organization.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
