Facilitates the assessment, if applicable, to the selected prospective seafarer applicants. Based on the ship board experience of the seafarer applicant, determines which vessel type is most appropriate for the seafarer applicant. Checks the validity and authenticity of submitted documents e.g. seaman’s book, passport, training certificates and other documents by the applicants related to his position. Conducts employment verification of applicants. Provides overview/information on the principal’s vessels type/particulars. Sees to it that the personal details or CVs of prospective seafarer applicants are computerized on the respective principal’s application form. In-charge with the initial line-up of seafarer candidates. Recommends prospective seafarer applicant for final assessment of the Crewing Manager. Advises the seafarer applicants of the training requirements required by the national and international requirements, the principals’, as well as of the SEABIRD. Performs other tasks deemed necessary on instructions from the top management. Qualifications Have at least 3 years working experience in related field. Knowledgeable with the qualification requirements per vessel type. Knowledgeable with seafarer’s training certificates, and processing of POEA contracts and other documents with relevant government agencies. Can work with minimum supervision.
