Overview

POSITION: ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Reports to: Finance Director & CEO

Retail Dynamics Industries Inc., a retail company that handles AEROPOSTALE and HURLEY brands, is looking for an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising accounting staff, managing the general ledger, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and coordinating audits.

Job Purpose
  • To ensure accurate period closure and reporting of financial results
  • To manage the planning, budgeting, forecasting & reporting processes at business unit level
  • To report and track Business Performance for the assigned brand, providing financial decision support to management and Brand Head with Commercial financial insights to assist with enhancing sales and profit performance and investment decisions
  • To support compliance to internal controls and policies, tax and other relevant statutory requirements
Responsibilities
  • Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Ensure that budget targets and guidelines are cascaded to the assigned brand
    • Work with brand leadership teams in the preparation of plans/budgets/forecasts and ensure alignment with management expectations; finalize the presentation packs by providing additional business insights and commentary
    • Identify & review funding requirements for endorsement to brand head.
  • Business Performance Measurement and Decision Support
    • Track business performance vs plans/budgets/forecasts (including working capital management), analyze and draw insights from reports and market related benchmark data
    • Drive cost controllership, bringing deep understanding of cost drivers to monitor & optimize spend effectiveness
    • Support brand to make timely, strategically aligned and value maximizing decisions through multi-dimensional analysis within relevant financial and operational business scenarios (opening/closing of stores, capex, new channels/products, and others)
  • Reporting, Governance & Control
    • Sign-off statutory, regulatory reporting and group reporting
    • Work with Tax teams to ensure tax position for revenue and spend is optimized, and risks minimized.
    • Facilitate communication of and monitor compliance to Finance and Accounting policies and procedures across the Brand
    • Ensure adequate management of financial risk in line with company and group policies
    • Manage internal and external financial and tax audits
Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant with a degree in Accounting
  • Strong technical experience in end-to-end accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in General Accounting and Financial Reporting
  • 5 years at least in a Supervisory/Managerial role
  • Willing to be assigned in BGC Taguig City and Full onsite work setup
