Reporting Manager (Temporary Replacement)

Overview

Reporting Manager (Temporary Replacement) role at SMEC is based in Pasig, Philippines. The position involves financial and administrative support for Project Management activities and coordination with Project Managers and Finance.

Responsibilities
  • Financial and administrative support for Project Management, including project code creation, regular replanning, and project closure in Epicor.
  • Set up job numbers for new projects in Epicor; verify project information and financial budget (revenue breakdown, resources’ time and cost planning) with Project Managers; update project plans for variations and reflect changes in revenue and costs; assess impact on profitability and obtain required approvals.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to submit project billings regularly to manage WIP and pursue collections.
  • Submit intercompany invoices for Pacific projects and sundry invoices for overhead recovery; submit credit notes/bad debt write-offs as required.
  • Submit payroll computations for expatriates on the 15th and 30th pay dates; provide cash inflow projections for ongoing projects with secured contracts.
  • Process and monitor external consultant and intercompany payables; assist in checking contribution margin for bids/proposals.
  • Provide status reporting on Debtors and Work in Progress (WIP) for ongoing projects; update opportunities/pipeline data with sub-sector leads.
  • Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts; prepare the annual budget for SMEC Philippines subsidiaries, outlining KPI targets; coordinate with Project Managers, Country Manager, and regional leads; liaise with the Support Group regarding overhead expenses.
  • Perform monthly/quarterly forecasts to track performance against approved Budget; conduct regular finance/accounting activities including monitoring customer collections and journal requests, verifying payment transactions, time audits, and depreciation/amortization schedules.
  • Enter and post accruals; review Monthly Project Profitability Report results; assist with schedules for BIR/FS audits related to Revenue, Accounts Receivable, and Collections.
  • Other tasks/responsibilities that may be required from time to time.
Qualifications / What you will need
  • Experience in financial and administrative aspects of project management and ERP systems (Epicor or similar).
  • Strong coordination with Project Managers and Finance; ability to manage budgets, billing, WIP, and profitability analyses.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, intercompany invoicing, debt collections, and basic accounting processes.
  • Ability to prepare budgets, forecasts, and KPI-driven planning for subsidiaries; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
