Overview Infrastructure Architect role at Metrobank . The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the design and delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects for the Bank’s Core Business Units, Foreign Branches and Subsidiaries. Responsibilities Planning and Design: Review the infrastructure design of ITG-owned projects, tools, and facilities, including complex systems with multiple applications. Recommend changes to the overall infrastructure design based on new technologies and standards. Project Review: Review vendor project designs, compare options, and recommend the best solution that meets requirements. Project Support: Serve as the infrastructure point of contact for projects under oversight. Coordinate with infrastructure teams regarding support needs. Track end-of-support (EOS) and end-of-life (EOL) for infrastructure components and advise affected units. Provide inputs to business units for application roadmaps. Review of Current Infrastructure: Assess the current infrastructure environment to identify critical deficiencies; engage ITG and affected business units to plan and implement remediation. Infrastructure Evaluation Process: Implement and revise the infrastructure technology evaluation process; identify gaps and provide improvement recommendations. Communication: Act as a resource in meetings and discussions involving infrastructure designs and requirements. Infrastructure Transformation: Review legacy infrastructure and recommend migrations to next-generation capabilities aligned to business needs, maintaining awareness of new technologies and strategies. Bill of Materials (BOM) Review: Review vendor project proposals and BOMs for compliance with standards and requirements. Infrastructure Documents: Recommend additional information to include in infrastructure documents as standards evolve and new technologies emerge. ID Representative: Serve as ID representative in strategic discussions and in the Architectural Review Board (ARB). Other tasks: Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Qualifications / Desired Skills Cloud: Cloud computing experience with at least one major provider (e.g., Azure, AWS). Technical skills: Linux, cloud infrastructure, networking and related IT infrastructure disciplines. Location: Metrobank Center, BGC, Taguig area (as applicable).
