Job Description Key Responsibilities Security Monitoring & DetectionMonitors security alerts and events using SIEM and other security platforms. Analyzes logs, network traffic, and system behavior to detect anomalies and potential threats. Maintains awareness of emerging threats and attack techniques relevant to the banking industry. Incident ResponseLeads and executes incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery. Conducts forensic investigations and root cause analysis of security incidents. Develops and maintains incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures. Coordinates with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, Risk, Legal) during incident investigations and escalations. Threat Intelligence & AnalysisPerforms threat hunting and proactive analysis to uncover hidden or emerging threats. Integrates threat intelligence feeds into monitoring and response workflows. Tool Management & OptimizationUtilizes and fine-tunes security tools such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), EDR (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne), IDS/IPS, and SOAR platforms. Recommends improvements to detection rules, alerting mechanisms, and automation workflows. Compliance & ReportingEnsures incident handling and documentation comply with regulatory standards (e.g., BSP, ISO 27001). Prepares detailed incident reports, metrics, and dashboards for management and audit purposes. The Successful Applicant Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline. Minimum of 7 years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a SOC or incident response capacity. Industry Preference: Candidates with experience in banking, financial services, or fintech are strongly preferred.
