Overview

The Accounts Payable Analyst ensures that generally accepted accounting principles, policies and procedures are complied with; internal controls are adhered to; terms of the service level agreement are consistently met; and that efficient workflows and best practices are adopted.

The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for efficient, timely and accurate accounting and payment of purchases/vendor payables, employee reimbursements/claims.

Responsibilities
  • Verify and post vendor invoices (AP) and employee claims (TE); reconcile bank statements; resolve supplier disputes; ensure proper and timely accounting of liabilities (AP); and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and/or employee claims.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close. Ensure AP transactions are posted to the General Ledger timely and accurately. Reconcile assigned accounts and verify propriety of postings and classifications.
  • Respond to supplier inquiries and requests for account reconciliation via phone or email.
  • Complete month-end tasks timely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure timely completion of annual internal/external audits.
  • Maintain AP work instructions/procedures.
  • Adhere to process controls mandatory set by government or the organization.
  • Protect the organization\'s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Bilingual Roles & Responsibilities
  • Translate written and verbal French language content.
  • Support other FAH & FAH RX teams for any French language requirement.
  • Assist colleagues when internal or external parties have language requirements.
  • Assist Vendor Master Team for phone verifications when vendors cannot speak English.
  • Translate for BU meetings where translation is required (call or email).
  • Translate and communicate necessary documents from French to English and vice versa.
  • Record audio and video translations from French to English and vice versa.
Technical Competencies
  • Ability to work on different computer systems and/or ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft).
  • Financial and accounting expertise with strong analytical skills.
  • Telephony or voice communication capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
Other Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree holder.
  • At least 2-3 years of working experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Language Proficiency Certificate for French.
  • Experience in a multinational company setting is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
