Overview

A Hydro-electric Power Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and optimization of a hydroelectric power generation facility. Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of hydroelectric systems, turbines, generators, and power transmission.
  • In-depth understanding of water flow management, hydrology, and energy generation optimization.
  • Familiarity with plant control systems (e.g., SCADA, DCS) and automation.
  • Expertise in safety, environmental regulations, and emergency response protocols.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills.
  • Budgeting and financial management experience, with the ability to optimize operational costs.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing internal teams and external stakeholders.
