ELV Design Engineer

Overview Arup Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines Join to apply for the ELV Design Engineer role at Arup . Responsibilities Undertakes Electronics/ELV and Electrical design elements for complex and major projects in a design engineer role. Prepares design calculations, drawings/sketches, specifications, and data sheets based on the specific requirements of the project assigned by the Team Leader. Report writing, authoring official documents such as letters, reports, minutes of meetings, and presentations. Contributes inputs for analysis results for reports. Provides and reviews Electronics/ELV and Electrical design calculations and drawings. Represents Arup at external meetings and attends and participates in kick-off meetings on various projects. Prepares internal and external minutes of the meeting. Participates in client meetings with higher-level engineers. Coordinates work with other disciplines. Assists in conducting site inspections for quality control and verification. Conducts site inspections for quality control and verification and conducts building services surveys for buildings. Documents and archives project-related documents such as correspondences, drawings and reports. Works closely with Building Services (MEPF) engineers and coordinates with engineers of other disciplines. Ensures timely submission and accuracy of outputs based on required standards. Fulfils other responsibilities assigned from time to time. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, including coordination with engineers of other trades / inter-disciplinary coordination. Willing to be assigned to project sites and conduct site inspections and surveys as needed. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Able to understand the balance of engineering priorities on differing projects. Skills and Qualifications Registered Engineer in Electronics Communications Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a relevant engineering discipline. With programming skills and experience; programming software such as Visual Basic, C-Plus, C-sharp, MathLab, etc. Experience in the preparation of technical design information, engineering drawings, equipment schedules, and specifications. Able to provide and develop design calculations, detailed drawings and specifications. Strong design ability and engineering solutions on major and/or complex projects. Engineering design skills and knowledge in building services systems (Sanitary). Extensive knowledge of software such as Carrier E-20, Trace, Elite, etc. (for design analysis). Familiar with international and local design standards and codes (e.g., US standards, BS, JIS). Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare project correspondences and reports. Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP and BIM is a plus. Motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges. Ability to maintain and develop client relationships; a collaborative team player and keen learner. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and coordinate with engineers of other trades / inter-disciplinary coordination. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Willing to be assigned to project sites and conduct site inspections and surveys. Good understanding of prioritizing engineering tasks across varying projects.
